Cooking borscht is, in fact, not the simplest thing to do. But now and then you simply MUST have it because your body and soul demands for it! Sharing a delicious recipe of UNESCO cultural heritage with you. More beet and no cabbage in this one. And what a pop of colour in your plate you will get! Plus there are versions for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. For a Ukrainian it is a holiday version and everyday version of red borscht ;)

INGREDIENTS
Broth/ Бульон 3 liters/літра
Red beet/Буряк черв. 2 medium/середніх
Carrot/Морква 1 medium/середня
Onion/Цибуля 2 medium/середня
Bell pepper/Перець сол. 0,5 medium/середній
Tomato juice/Томат.сік 250ml/мл.
Garlic/Часник 3 cloves/зубчика
Potatoes/Картопля 5 medium/середніх
Salt/Сіль 1,5-2 tbsps./ст.л.
Oil/Олія 3-4 tbsps./ст.л.
Butter/Масло 25-30gr./гр.
Black pepper/ Чор.перець 0,5 teaspoon/ч.л.
Bayleaf/Лавровий лист 2 pcs./шт.
Dill/Укроп 2 tbsps/ст.л.
Buns/Пампушки 1 per serving/на порцію
Sour cream/Сметана 1 tbsp. per serving/ст.л.
