5 days out from the planned opening. the Green Light from ONRSR Australia's National Safety Regulator has not been given in time.
The opening of Sydney Metro City and Southwest Stage 1 from Chatswood to Sydenham has been delayed till further notice.
Despite Waterloo, Barangaroo and new Platforms at Sydenham, Central and Martin Place have been completed, critical safety inspections are still in progress and not completed in time.

I hate this delay! I want the Sydney Trains Timetable to change already and it occurs once the Bankstown to Sydenham line closes for the metro conversion, which won't happen until the Chatswood to Sydenham metro line has enough reliability! I'm very angry and impatient now!
