Now, Kira (Light Yagami) was not in the right for what he had done. Yes, he was killing criminals that more than likely deserved it, but was also killing innocent people or people with minor to no charges. He even killed his own father. Yes, Light didn't initially put his father's name in the Death Note, but he was at fault and played a big role in his father's death. He went after everyone that went after him because he was petty and egotistic. I love Light Yagami, he's actually one of my favorite characters in the Death Note series, but no, I can't say Light was a victim at all.

Yeah, Light had a serious god complex and was consumed by his own narcissistic nature. Which led to him eventually being caught in the end. He wanted to prove that he was the smartest person in the world. However, his ego was what done him in. The reason they found out his location is because they baited him using a decoy, and when they told him that he was evil. He flipped out and killed the decoy without hesitation. Plus, his plans were flawed from the start since he killed criminals. Which could easily include people who were framed in the end as well, people who actually want to redeem themselves. He doesn't seem to care about actually investigating the people and figuring out the truth. He is killing any criminal no matter what the crime. Not to mention that he is doing this to feed his ego and for his own selfish reasons. He is manipulated , gaslight, abused, and did everything he could to further his own goals of becoming a God. In truth, he was always a narracistic sociopath in it for himself. His plan always destined to fail in the end
