More and more people are diagnosed with cancer at a younger and younger age.
If I was in charge, I would do these 3 things
1 - educate teenagers about the red flag warning signs of cancer
2 - stop the waiting for cancer diagnosis and treatment and end the post-code drug and trial lottery
3 - boost funding for metastatic cancer research

What would you do?

I would love a video from you about no. 1: What are the head-to-toe signs and symptoms my teenager needs to know? ❤

This video is absolutely amazing. I’ve lost multiple family members due to cancer and I’ve had it 4 times myself. Spreading awareness about cancer is amazing. ❤

Thank you for asking us!!💜
I would ask that all public school lunches be whole food plant based meals. I would eliminate processed foods associated with higher cancer and metabolic risks from all grocery stores- or have huge warnings and taxes on them, I would change the meals that hospitals and nursing homes feed their patients to whole food plant based meals with Lots of fresh vegetables. And I would put organic vegetable gardens in every neighborhood, public school and hospital type setting to feed those in that environment

Thank you Dr Liz! Spot on! And nobody should find out they have cancer from a patient portal. Education is key!

Yesss to #3!! With more clinical trials and treatment and support, metastatic patients are able to live longer, fuller lives. I’d love to cure cancer … but cancer as a manageable, chronic condition is a great goal in the meantime.

As a person 7 years out from diagnosis and treatment (no recurrence, as yet, God willing) I would 100% say EDUCATION. I was in denial about symptoms because I was AFRAID. That sounds counterintuitive, but it’s a major reality for many. Thankfully, my cancer was localized, but I could have been given a dire diagnosis, as my mother was given, just months before she passed. 🕊

My very dear friend was in the clutches of alternative therapists and having spent a fortune on very weird treatments – infusions in Germany, special teas, a diet consisting only of grapes, and then organic fruits, the cancer spread to her bones, and for several weeks she was in agony before she died. The worst thing was that they actually discouraged her from having mainstream treatment.

Thank you for asking. My no 1 is when you go to a gp 3 times in 6 months for a set of what appears to be odd but painful symptoms they didn’t just send you home saying, your alright.
