My band teacher told us to put the whole reed in our mouths to make sure itās definitely soaked enough and it makes the reed stick to the mouth piece better while you put the ligature on

Breakfast: wood

I have been playing sax for 3 years and these tips help a lot but for finding how much mouth piece to put in your mouth I recommend putting paper behind the reed and when you can push it anymore thatās how much mouth piece to put in your mouth
