I know a Mechanic/Technician who works at Honda dealership here in Florida who has 30 years working experience. In that 30 years he has collected tools over time that now include powertrain diagnostic components to talk to various computer modules in a Honda, and FYI there’s about 9 computers in a car. His total all-in from Snap-On, Matco, and Mac tools are about 135k! Point is a 40k guitar is a tool! If it helps your career then it’s a must have. If it’s a pretty on a wall then you have too much damn money vs common sense!

Good luck with that price. As an owner of a few vintage guitars, I keep hearing that the collector's market is about to hit bottom. It seems that young musicians couldn't care less about heritage or brands. I get it, but it's still sad to see the change in the market.
That being said, talent like hers will never go out of style.

I can honestly say that my LL16 sounds better. When you get to a certain quality of tone woods, then wood is wood. It's solid east Indian Rosewood B/S, and solid Engelmann spruce top.
I switched the stock hardware for bone nut, saddle, pins, and 510 tuners. All in all it was around $1750. If it was a Martin it'd be $4,000. I played a D35 from the 50's that didn't even come close. It's hypnosis that makes a lot of guitars seem worth the price.
