一直到出發前，我都覺得像在作夢，如果不是老梅積極推我們一把，抽玉山連續摃五次的我們，早已不抱任何希望能在今年完成。
好多年沒爬百岳，很擔心過去常發生的高山症狀會再度出現，雖然事先做了預防，但還是不敵睡眠不足與寒冷。
東埔出發，進塔塔加登山口沒多久我就開始暈眩，本來上坡就弱的我加上使不上力就更慢，雖然老梅不斷鼓勵與等待，但極度不適讓我在未抵達排雲之前，就決定這次不上主峰，不只是不想拖累他們的速度，也覺得在這樣的狀態下硬撐登頂沒有意義。
我在大休了一小時後慢慢恢復，因為實在太冷就往玉主方向散步，沒想到越走越來勁，手腳不再冰冷讓我更有精神，後來在距離玉主 1.3 公里處遇到下山的富哥一起折返。
