Windows Solid State Drive Loading Speed Demonstration

Loading time seems to be a thing of the past when using a solid state drive. This is an ADATA SX900 solid state drive.

This is a full boot from the computer being completely turned off, this computer was not in "suspend" or "sleep" mode.

I have my operating system and programs on the solid state drive to minimize loading time.

Media (movies, music, etc), downloads and larger files that require lots of re-writing, storage capacity but don't require speed I keep on my second conventional hard drive because it's larger and won't wear out from being rewritten to. This setup ensures both maximum loading speed as well as maximum lifespan for my solid state drive.

I love the concept of Solid state drives, and so far they are executed well. Very fast read/write speeds and more durable than an HDD (cartridge vs CD advantages anyone?), but it's life cycle decreases differently from a mechanical drive and has a higher price per gigabyte. These 2 disadvantages alone are what will drag me away from SSD's at least for 2 years. This is because I have more than 8000's music tracks (*.it/.xm/.s3m/.mod/.j2b etc.), 90 of which I created, and I'm constantly mashing that save button to save changes. I also download lots of stuff from the Internet, mostly reverse-engineering tools to rip out as much music related data from old video games as possible.

i have piece of shit kingston v200 128gb ssd.
It has peak performance of 250mbs write and usually 150-200mbs.
Loading time from post to windows 8.1 is ~10-15 seconds and its really bad time for w8.1 on a ssd
