One thing i always think when i see stuff like this is if you get shot with a 308 just 1inch below the bottom of that plate,you are deader than hell.

What I really don't like about armor is it leaves your guts exposed and thus your spine...
Anyone in the know... most operators practice targeting that area + groin against a peer opforce.👈🏽👈

It's really thick for lvl3+. 4.5lbs isn't terrible but you can find lvl4 polyethylene plates for around the same weight and 20% thinner. Ceramics are fine but polyethylene will hold up for more than one shot. Always go multi curve and don't use AR500/AR600 steel. Steel is way too heavy, plate bags don't really hold them well and they spall a lot, even with spall protection.

As any one who’s hunted for a while knows. Gut shots don’t kill fast but the kill and they kill slow. It’s really hard to fix mass hemorrhages in the guts without surgery.
