When my MIL passed away I had to teach my FIL how to cook. This included teaching him: dash, pinch, shake, dollop, drip etc. He had a hard time but he learned.

I would love to see the acceptable range for each measurement! When my grandmother was teaching me how to cook a favorite dish I measured and wrote down the ingredients and my notes were useful for the first few times I made it. Now 40 years later I just wing it and have no idea where my notes are.
