I pan a dry creek as well (in the summerāŗļø). I love seeing color coming from the moist soil under the rocks. The old timers were badassšŖ Great job on the gold! š„āļø

If it is an easy walk in to a creek then you are 176 years to late here in the California Mother Load. All that ground as been re-worked many times especially during the depression years.
Good ground can be found but it is the most difficult places to get to. However lode mines have not been all played out especially in the Mother Lode.
