I liked Unity. It wasn't a Black and White story like most of them.
Assassins had a civil war inside it's own faction, Templar's were fighting their own rogue faction.
Then you have Arno, an orphaned boy born from an Assassin but raised by a Templar whom he loved as a father.
He was extremely traumatized and everytime he did something mischievous (in his youth) a person he loved died.
It was a tragic love story. Arno didn't give a damn about the assassins or templars. He was trying to repay debts and keep the only woman he ever loved.

Honestly my least favorite was Valhalla. I liked the modern day bits and the gameplay grew on me once I learned my way around the unforgiving detection system and made it work. But, I can’t get over the fact the games revolves nothing around assassins and the hidden ones being allied with assassins makes no sense to me.
I mean we’re invading a land and burning down homes. The siege of Paris dlc sealed it for me when that one Viking killed everyone in a church towards the end.

I honestly did not like Syndicate. I think the lack of beauty giving the setting and could not connect with characters. Also was not a fan of gameplay. 3 and Unity were underrated at time of release. I loved 3 despite odd ending for Connor and the setting despite less elevation in buildings to climb was regarfless very fun at time of release. I got hooked very quick and played ir relentlessly.
