I used Fuji Velvia and Provia back in my film days. I usually use Fuji's Velvia film simulation for landscapes and Provia for people and indoor photography, just like the old days of film.

Back when I had to document property inspections, film was my nemesis. All this does is make me remember how glad I was when digital happened. I harbor no illusions about how bad it was in the early days, but it saved me weeks on the year.

I started out in photography back in the late 1970s and shot on Kodachrome 25, 64, and 200, but starting shooting Velvia and Sensia when Fuji introduced them. I loved Velvia 50 and shot on it into the early 2000s.
I have only just started shooting film again, but Velvia won't be shot by me anymore due to the crazy price of this and other film stocks.

As far as FujiFIlm in general, I have all of my artwork printed on their Crystal Archive photo paper (at resolutions above 300 dpi), usually with a matte finish. Can't beat it. :)

Velvia was the only film that could capture the true blue of morning glories. Other films would always tend to purple.

It was Velvia that enticed me to cheat on my beloved Kodachrome. By 1994, Kodachrome was but a memory, though I do miss it at times.

Kodak had saturated reds. Fuji had saturated greens. Kodachrome 25 ASA slide film is unmatched by anyone.

Kodachrome is/was great for skintones. Velvia is/was great for landscapes.

Hence FujiFilm early adopted digital cameras and Kodax went broke.
