Get to know the artists behind the music as we introduce our 2024 Sound Off! lineup. Playing in our first Sound Off! showcase on Saturday, February 17th is The Rat Utopia Experiment (T.R.U.E).

The Rat Utopia Experiment, also known as T.R.U.E., is an anarchist American rock band based out of Tacoma, Washington. Formed in June 2022, they dominate the stage as well as their enemies as they defy their contrasting musical tastes to form a sound that’s a tragic clash of metal riffs, emo, nu-metal, and anti-establishment themes. T.R.U.E. has released five singles and are in the process of creating more lore-driven work.

MoPOP’s Sound Off! gives up-and-coming artists mentorship from industry leaders, entrée into an artistic community invested in their growth, connections with peer musicians, and the chance to showcase their original music in MoPOP’s iconic Sky Church venue.

This year’s three live showcases set for February 17, February 24, and March 2, raise the bar for an all-ages showcase with a first-class experience at MoPOP for performers and the audience alike.
