This is why methadone maintenance is a good solution if you can't be sick. It helped me not to have to deal with shady guys, abuse and manipulation. Also for the most part, my counselors have been better than psychiatrists that cost $$$. I don't have to rely on anybody but myself, finally.

She tells no lies! The disrespect you put up with just so you aren’t sick is just disgusting! I used to think the whole “addiction is a disease” was just an excuse but it truly is! It’s mind blowing 🤯 !! You will go back to that same person that treats you like crap and screams at you, all so you can get what you need and not be sick!!

I have a friend that used to date our W33d plug (not legal in my state) and he also dealt other things but I only ever hit him up for the devils lettuce because that’s all I’ve ever done and will ever do. But besides that, I don’t know exactly what she was into but these remind me SOOOOO much of their dynamic. I remember once she asked me to just drive down his road and see what cars were in his driveway. All of these “dating the 🔌 “ skits just remind me so much of that time working with her and being really close. Our falling out started with her calling me at 1 am asking me to come pick her up because she was super drunk and messed up and on the side of the road. I tried for hours to get her to share her location with me, tell me exactly where she was, face time me so I could see the buildings around her. And she gave me such a run around until her on and off again bf at the time picked her up. I had no clue where on earth to even start looking for her and I had a kid asleep in their bed I couldn’t just pack up and drive around all night looking for her. A few weeks after this she got pulled over leaving our place of employment, super drunk, and got a DWI and a couple other charges. Right now she’s still in probation but hopefully if she keeps up the good work and clean tests, she will be off soon ❤ some of our mutual friends say that she does this every few years, gets worse and worse then fights any charges she’s faced with, gets clean, and repeat. I hope this time it sticks but I will root for her from afar
