I just heard of someone in the middle of cancer treatment and was told he would have to find another provider. He was at MD Anderson. What in holy cow is going on with medicine in this country? What happened to “do no harm”??? Oh ya, it’s all about money now. Not the patients health. They literally discharged him. There has to be some oversight committee that people can reach out to report these advantage plans just dropping people. It is terrible.

Exactly why i chose traditional Medicare Plan N @ $96 a month & Well Care at $.00 Drug Plan. Willing to pay more to ensure if i get a catastrophic diagnosis, ill be ok. Thanks Julia for helping me select what's best for me.

Can you switch from Advantage to regular Medicare at some point if it's not working out for you and your needs?

I kind of like that they're not going to take MA. Why, they've had at least 60 years to make a difference and we're still at our own 10 yard line and all these trials they're not progressing. We can start by removing GMOs and artificial flavors, seed oils and sugars and sugary heavily processed foods.

The major "Gold Standard" treatment centers like Mayo and MD Anderson aren't going to be a realistic option for many, regardless of their insurance situation. There are only a few of these such facilities scattered around the country, so for many, they would have to factor-in transportation and lodging expenses on top of any out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered, and there is the question as to whether their medical condition would make long-distance travel difficult. This is all assuming you could get accepted into one of their treatment programs, in the first place.

90% is on you. Your heredity and genes, your care (life choices diet and exercise) Most of the last 10% is on doctors working on your heredity and diseases. 2-4% overall is these specialty givers. And much of that is already known as these issues usually run in the family history

"Rare" cancers don't "run" in families. That's why they are rare
