For the best. The armor trim is supposed to be about personalization and self-expression. If the trim does anything other than look cool, it cheapens that

How do you use armor trims? Like how do you get to use the snapshot? I’ve tried and it doesn’t do anything at all except add bamboo stuff and camels. Can you make a video on how to use the amor trims?

Honestly, it's a good idea, why shouldn't mojang add a series of features for smithing Templets, for example, with emerald, the villagers will give you a discount, or with lapis, you'll have a chance to get better Enchants.
