There is also another positive effect of this where the time it takes to finish an illustration stays the same but the quality of it improves
I did this and the time it took for me to finish a piece stayed the same but I noticed my quality improved, looking back at old illustrations my brain would go "I could finish this quicker if I re-do it now"
