Safa Hill is one of the two sacred hills located within the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It holds deep significance in Islamic history, as it is the starting point of the ritual known as Sa'i, a key part of both Hajj and Umrah. Pilgrims walk between the hills of Safa and Marwah seven times to honor the journey of Hajarah, the wife of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), who ran between these hills in search of water for her son, Ismail (Ishmael). Her faith and perseverance were rewarded with the miraculous appearance of the Zamzam well.
Today, Safa is enclosed within the grand mosque, with modern structures surrounding it, but its spiritual importance remains unchanged.
