These rumors were around for One UI 6 too, but the changes were minimal. One UI is heavy on system resources and there are multiple apps that do the same thing.
If the user opts into using Good Lock, these issues become ever more apparent since all the extra customizations also add up even more load on system resources. When I compared my phone to my uncle's, which is the exact same S21 FE, it was more smooth since it had less battery cycles and much less apps on it, also there were no Good Lock customizations, too.
iPhones took a lot of time to get the most basic customization features but careful development practices and superior SoCs kept iOS experience much more smoother than Android over the years.

I could really care less about animations. In fact, I use developer options to reduce animations at .5X speed. Makes the transitions faster with less animations.

For now, Only apple can do this without causing battery drain, refreshed app, overheating. Its good to see how samsung gonna do it. Although i gotta say, they gonna need something as fast as nvme used in iphone first

The animations were my biggest issue with the s24 ultra that caused me to leave my personal sim in my iPhone instead
Can’t wait to see actually use it, hopefully they’re finally as good as iOS
