Great clip to re-post before you drop your training video with Jen Thompson where y'all do some declines! #masters

I treat decline as a accessory, do it from time to time when my shoulders are feeling some type of way even in my 20's allows me to load up more weight than flat bench while still finding more comfort than I would on flat/incline . I've now been lifting for 16 years now though, but yes I never start off on decline, rather start on incline, since my upper chest has and always will be the most stubborn part of my chest to grow, but when I want to work on power flat bench will always be king.

Get a cambered bar (the single bar kind not the big ones with parallel grip) and it will change the decline bench for you forever I swear!

I used to use one all the time in my 20's it was just fun because i could easily rep 3 plates on it. Ive never even bench it once on a flat bench.

I use the decline machine because it’s perfectly situated to where I can give the broccoli heads on the cables a death stare so that I can work the cables.

I use it all the time. I used it a lot in my 20s when I was training for football. It was a core part of my chest workout especially when I was training for the combine. It helped with my flat bench to get over the hump. Also Im now 44 and still use it

It builds strength in that range of motion. It's a major thing they used to have us lineman focus on so we could push the defense across from us down to the ground. Today no one cares about a good running game.

I do parallel bar dips instead. I like the way decline feels, it's like cheating so easy.

I see a lot more youngsters use decline because they can bench more and it helps feed there egos but your saying this like decline bench is a bad thing according to Charles glass who is a absolute god when it comes to bodybuilding and he’s been quoted as saying all you need is decline to build your chest
