Closely related to the natural man is the spontaneous man, who reacts immediately to new social situations with an optimistic impulse without any reflection or second thoughts. The spontaneous man is sociable, boisterous, and quick to joke around and fool around. He speaks loudly and likes to bring attention to himself and is quick to drop any courteous manners or means of dress as soon as he can.

Both of these men glorify unbridled reactions and sensations, and thus, clash with Catholic civilization’s hierarchical order and upright moral code.”
