it really depends though.
If you pick sth like Gwen against a Mundo, you re stronger than him for the whole duration of the game.
If your "counterpick" is only sth you use to go ahead in Lane such as a Renekton, you will get outscaled and a single mistake can ruin your lane.

Depends. I main yorick, playing against irelia is almost impossible since i cant use half of my kit.

Depends on a lot of factors. What role are you playing? What champion are you maining, and who are you fightint against? You cant just macro your way to success on one or two champions.

I mean Malphite vs Tryndamere is almost impossible to lose, early mid late game, after boots or chainmail its almost impossible for trynda to even do something
If he tries to 100 to 0 you can just run or ult away, even if tynda has like 2 or 3 kills ahead just by design malphite just counters everything trynda is good at

Yea i play top lane and its not true. Im plat we know we suckk at macro but some of us are good in lane. If some one blind pick nasus, mord, cho u bet il pick darius and make them afk even if they win bc we suck at macro haha

I think saying they "do not matter at all" is a stretch, but counters are much less effective at lower ranks. There are matchups like Darius vs Quinn or Camille vs Vayne or Yorick vs Irelia that are literally impossible if the Quinn/Vayne/Irelia has more than one braincell.
