At my S7 I could enable this, but no effect. The phone did not create a DNG file :(

+Jonahdx, thanks for finding this! Samsung USA tech support does not know this exists.
A couple of details, as before Nougat, it only works in Pro Mode, even though the Setting is visible in other Modes. Also, if one saves to SD Card, shooting in Pro Mode to RAW + JPG will have the image files saved to Internal Storage.
