Just got back from Gettysburg, my 3rd time grandfather also fought in the Ulster Guard, I stood in same spot and the feeling is unbelievable, no words

My 3rd Great Grand Uncle fought in the 32nd North Carolina infantry at Gettysburg along with many other of my relatives from Alabama and South Carolina units also at Gettysburg

Gettysburg should be on everyone’s bucket list. I’m 57 and after 55 years I finally made it.

My other ancestor, John Callahan, fought in Kentucky was injured but not allowed to go to hospital until months afterward. He fought for the 36th Indiana regiment. He was paroled but spent two years in a hospital and died a few months after leaving the hospital.

My ancestor was Sgt David Alva Barnett- Company B - 99th PA - fought at Devil’s Den. I had 8 ancestors who fought for the Union during the Civil War.

I can't seem to get enough Civil War history & appreciative your videos! At Kennesaw Mnt I had relatives on both sides, & my Mom's Gr. Gr. GrPa was shot & died on his way home to Alabama, missing the birth of his son, a man I was fortunate to meet & remember. Born when Lincoln was president, died at 112 yrs in Okla. My Dad's Gr GraPa & 2 bro's rode off fr S. IL, returning 4 yrs later, amazingly on the same horses! 👍
