My experience with the pixel 8 series is that theyre slow, stutter constantly and have random bugs in apps that other phones dont have.
Like, scrolling through a gallery on discord, every single time a new image loads the phone does a small, couple frame hitch.
Or when youre playing roblox and for some reason everything is focused on the cpu instead of being spread across the gpu aswell. In turn you get an under 30fps experience, completely unnaceptable for a phone of this price.
The processor just sucks in general, and even the Pixel 9 series doesnt have the same amount of power as the almost 2 year old Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Everything suffers not just from the processors raw strength but how apps are optimized around snapdragon or other processor based phones.
I wouldn't recommend this phone to really anybody, and i got mine for 300$. The 8a is even worse. I see reviews like this all the time and wonder if reviewers are actually heavily using the phones or just giving it a light pat down.
