In the South it's not if you can drive in the snow. it's if the other people on the road with you can drive in the snow

I will tell ya from experience of both! Growing up in Southern Alabama we didn't have shoes in summer. We got flops that were broken in a couple weeks and we didn't get new ones! Your feet get used to it. Now, after getting out of the Navy I moved to Chicago and the first time I even saw real snow, I went to a mall parking lot and had so much fun learning to drive in snow. So, snow as long as I'm driving south to come home to Alabama!

I'd rather slip and slide my lil car all over the road than be outside barefoot on a Southern summer street.

As a born and bred Texan I would much rather drive through 5 inches of snow. During this Texas summer it was so hot my dog wanted to learn how to use my cat's litter box.

The bugs alone mean the 3 seasons of the year I would not go barefoot outside in the South.... frostbite is better than southern bugbites

I'm from Texas and I'll take the snow. I not only survived this current Summer here, but the Summer of 1980. I've called the current Summer the "1980 Revenge Tour" because it's like it's trying to kill those of us who survived '80.

On top of that, snow here is somewhat easier to drive on than ice. At least snow gives you some traction.

Snow is easy. It's solid ice that's scary.

Depends on what I'm walking on. If it's grass no question, I grew up barefoot. If it's hot asphalt, no question especially if I have 4 wheel drive, it would be snow!

Girl you know Alabama snow is way different than Utah snow. Alabama snow like Georgia snow is basically ice.

I look forward to more of these . . .
I'm with Talia on this!
Grew up in the desert Southwest, lived enough years in Idaho to know which I'd rather do!

Back in the early '90's i'd moved from missouri to el paso. I ran barefoot everywhere, so i didn't think about the asphalt getting so hot in tx. and ran to take the trash out.

I ended up with huge blisters on the balls of my feet. Needless to say, i didn't run barefoot in tx anymore.🤦‍♀

Just do what we do here and throw some bags of cat litter in the trunk while driving in the snow. You get stuck, throw some of that down for traction.

Spent first 41 years of life in northern Utah, driving in snow is not bad, ice in Texas, that's hard.

I'd rather drive in the snow, I learned how to drive in snow when I was young

Good choice! Once took my shoes off due to blisters and walked home. Had 2nd degree burns on the soles of my feet. Summer ain’t playing in the South!
