As someone who worked with youth as a social worker at a safe youth shelter in the states for around 10 years this is heart breaking that Japan is not protecting its children enough. I would love to turn an abandoned house in Yokosuka into a safe youth shelter in the future when I have more information on how to possibly coordinate one with local Japanese social workers and have more money to assist 😊

If I had money I would adopt many of them as I can, and give them all the support they needed. Love, therapy, food, a room they could decorate however they like, a peaceful home full of kindness and joy, and we’d do whatever activities they’re passionate about to keep them going 😢 they deserve so much but the world we live in is so messed up.

I really wish there was something I could do specifically to help Toyoko kids. Young people are Japan’s greatest resource and from what I can see, they’re subjected to ridiculous rules at school and put under tremendous pressure to succeed.
I’m a Hafu and I love Japan -it breaks my heart to know that there are so many unhappy people there in that incredible country. 💔

nahh that's too much for kids to be dealing with, this shouldn't be overlooked...the fact that she came here instead of her school to get friends explains its not just the adults but also the other kids being not much interactive and supportive for others, even if these kids were to grow up properly, we would still find new more as long as the new generation is not let to grow properly

At least was respectful enough to blur the kids face.
