I'm feeling this one. I live in the Pacific Northwest I hate riding in the rain so I usually make myself feel better by working on them or buying some parts and just imagine how cool it'll be when the summer hits

Rule number 1 - never ever throw away old bike parts!
Do not overconsume,polute or else - do recycle, reuse - on another bike for restoration purpose.
God knows what can happened and you might need some parts temporary.

Here in Norway we just put more and more light on it :D And stud tyres at least 400 studs in each tire. The sun goes down 15:45 today, and earlyer every day.

Reflective straps on back and chest, helmet lights and bike lights. I ride nights a lot and never had any problems.

I just find a well lit street or parking lot and mess around with wheelies or a Yardi course, not quite as fun gets the job done.
