The only problem with this paradox, lies within the foundation of the thought experiment. The cat is also an observer, it will dictate the state of observation. When you open the box, it will be the cat that defined the state of the box. You just observe the random result. With some of us feeling impressed by putting a cat in a box, with 50-50 odds of survival.
