As command sergeant major he was identified as THE highest enlisted leader in his command. He is employed to set the example of honesty, integrity & trust. He knowingly misled others to enhance his political ambitions & purposely ditched his troops prior to deploying. Then he around chain of command for personal gain.
An enlisted man of lesser rank would b formally disciplined. He should b too.
