This isn't just karma, it's not knowing basic game mechanics. He got bounced off of his own bunker's tyre walls, because that's how it works when two bunkers are faced against each other: the tyres on the one that was placed later are not seen, but active, so if you use the other bunkers ramp it will knock you off.
