Poor melted wax over them and wrap in aluminium foil, it keeps the methanol from drying out, when using, scrape a bit of wax off and light it, and the wax is also a bonus fire starter too👌👌

Instead of doing that, I suggest you carry a small paper cup and an ethanol bottle. Place the paper cup filled with ethanol at the bottom of the firewood stack and light it there.

We dirink those ethanols 97% when we was in high school :)
Im living in iran its islamic cuntry so alkol is iligel but ethanol you could buy those from every super markets bcs itsnot for drinking :D (but its mostly safe to drink :))
And i swear to god bcs its taist like sheeet bcs of high percend of alkol in it we drink it non stop im not kidding we would go like
Gholobbb gholobb gholobb gholobb ... non stop and finish it in 1 go :)) and with no max after that drink full small frut juice bcs if you stop you will gonna feel the taist and there is no way you gonna go for another qholobb after that and dont trow up :D
But 1 of those was good for 1 person get drunk :)

Looks like it works good but wouldn't you want to put it under all the woods so it would catch the wood on fire better maybe you're just putting it on top to show how easy it is to light
