I know many people are new to the souls series but leaving unanswered questions has always been a part of these games. You will not get all the closure you crave, instead the souls games let's you fill in these gaps yourself

From soft never flushes out the story/world it's always ambiguous and amazing. Even if we got elden ring 2 and even 3 you would still end up with more questions than answers.

I'm so sorry for all you new souls enjoyer, because from demon souls to elden ring, they didn't want to make a sequel. Dark souls only got a sequel because their publisher forced out dark souls 2 and they didn't want to leave it on a bad note. So the possibility of a elden 2 is slim to none.

To the people who are always wanting sequels. We all learned a very long time ago that Miyazaki doesnāt like sequels and would rather work on new projects. Itās why he didnāt want to do Dark Souls 2 in the first place. Then comes back for Dark Souls 3 to finally put an end to the story. This is why we likely wonāt get a Bloodborne 2.

I would be ok with there never being another elden ring game. Iām sort of getting tired of sequels and would like to see newer ideas.

as long as they do another soulsborne, and they will, since they've been making these games (checkpoints, regenerating potions, action combat, stat scaling, weapon variety, skill based fights) for 15 years now and they were all successful. I don't think they will stop. Lore-wise, I liked Bloodborne more than Dark souls, and Dark Souls more than Elden Ring, but ultimately I don't care, bring on another one with a decrepit world and skill-build-based action combat. I'm in.

Nah the unanswered questions are part of the genre. Use your imagination, itās fun getting to discuss theories and ideas for hours simply because we donāt have all the answers. I would LOVE another dlc, but i really donāt think we need a full on sequel
Or maybe we could get something similar to ds2, where itās a separate story still set on another island in the lands between that has some connections to ER, but is still itās own story with its own lore

Honestly, I want a book of Elden Ring. With George RR Martin's work, how much lore and story in every detail of Elden Ring from both the Fromsoft team and George.
I feel like it would be a comfortable and appropriate new medium for Fromsoft, George RR Martin, and fans to wrap up the story or at least answer a few questions.
