As a some-what socially awkward dude, I never realised how much I appreciate a simple fist bump.
He initiates it, but then waits until the other party bumps his fist. He isn't thrusting forward, and it's far less intimidating than meeting someone halfway, and I imagine that makes it so much easier, especially with kids.
This has blown my mind.
