I'm going to have to listen through the 3rd again. This part is (for me) where there's a necessity to combine both an immense emotional intensity and demand of technique.
SR was noted for emphasising a 'point' in any (longer?) composition which, I guess, was the pivot point of any performance, but I've never heard of a specific one that's annotated.
I greatly admire any pianist who can draw out what the 3rd requires. Watching you practice this has been extremely educative. We listeners tend to lap up our feast without considering too much how much work has gone into the 'cooking'. Thank you.
