I will never hear this song again without thinking of that gut-wrenching encore of the Hip's last performance that was broadcast across Canada. CBC kept flashing to audiences in various towns. People were weeping openly. Imagine being the voice of an entire nation.

Man, they were great! Uniquely Canadian. Wonderful tunes and lyrics. I had them on the cans today. Just makes your day more beautiful. RIP, Gordon.

I can't imagine the void that has been left in all of your lives after losing such a close member of your family.
The nation may have lost a dear friend, but you've lost a brother.
And yet...you all have something we all wish we had....the memories of a brother. A beautiful human being that was the voice of a band that spoke for an entire country.
