I can't sing. I now think that I understand that I sing from the throat, and through a pitch monitoring software I was surprised that I generally hit the pitch fairly accurately in my vocal range. And even more to my surprise, when a not is out of my vocal range I often sing an octave lower, or maybe another harmony (third or fifth for example)

While driving (alone) I was singing in stupid voices and found that in one of my voices it actually sounded (to me) that I was singing better. So, I have been exploring this a little.

Everyone says, "sing from your diaphragm" which is the most useless piece of information I have received. (it was actually your short on that we technically don't sing from the diaphragm that led me to check out some of your other content.)

But that's not necessarily why I think that advice is useless. People tell me WHAT to do, often, but not HOW to do it. I've been told to sing from my diaphragm all my life. I have seen and done countless breathing exercises, but I fail to apply all of that into singing. (I recently discovered that I think that I talk with my throat, a lot. I think)

It seems your channel is more about singing harmonies, that seems to be your niche.

Folks, what I need to know is HOW to control the air when I'm singing and not strain the vocal muscles.
