Before you start complaining about the state of the world and your nation then you should think about what it is like to live in a 3rd world country, because the luxury we experience here in the West barely exists in those less fortunate parts of the world!

Good lesson for all the ignorant people and chronic complainers including myself.

Yes indeed, although seeing all the ease of the west & benefiting myself aswell. the people in the west must have alot of merit unfortunately like spoiled rich children we are spending are wealth on toys.

Understanding how our consumption habits directly impact the people from these third world countries can help us make more informed choices. It's difficult because we're on the opposite end of the spectrum from these people, so for us, it's hard to see how we can survive without the things that we certainly take for granted. Like this phone I'm typing with, right now. And how its battery, more than likely, came from slave labor. Most objects are arising to mind in the sad form of 'this came from fossil fuels' 'this also came from fossil fuels' 'we don't know how to live without fossil fuels' 'we'll just destroy the planet to create more plastic bs' etc. 🥲
