I agree with the last statement about train when you can but not the evening training idea. In the morning cortisol wakes you up and when you workout cortisol is higher as well. In the evening we should be winding down so that our cortisol goes down and melatonin goes up so we can recharge aka sleep and recover from the days work. Sacrificing a good night of sleep will only constitute decreased overall health and therefore âgainsâ in the long term.

I enjoy morning workouts anymore. In the past I would workout at night right after work. I had results sure but it was hard having energy sometimes. I'm more energetic in the morning and I feel better mentally for the day ahead after a morning workout. It all depends on what works for us as individuals.
