Police need better procedures for dealing with people with disabilities if a social worker tells u something about there client u listen and let her descalate the situation. U dont just hold them tightly and pull a tazer out. People do for get that we have a disability act and if u violates that act u can be charged.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where The mentally challenged have to meet a certain level of comportibility in order to be able to navigate society without a guardian despite their comfort level limitations. In a situation like this, The person who is on the spectrum probably should have been instructed to inquire if there is a basket that they could use to place items in rather than put things in their pocket, anything to avoid the appearance of impropriety so that employees whose IQ might only be a few points higher than their own won't be triggered into thinking that they are attempting to shoplift.

Put something in your pocket
And walk around the store
