Setting "Luma Sharpen" and "Adaptive Sharpen" to 100 also help a lot IME. I leave Feather at 75 and play both day/night like that, makes it easier to get used to.

i find that feather at around 30, and brightness at around -20 results in a visualy similar image to default, but cuts the bloom from lights a TON. super helpful with NVGs. I run it all the time because it otherwise looks normal.

If you have Nvidia, go to control panel, set contrast to 65 and gamma to 2.80.

100 brightness will get you blinded by an enemy flashlight as brightness turns up enemy flashlights brightness by a whole lot.

Do you consider using the nvidia control panel, and raising gamma to be cheating? Honestly works better that night vision it’s kinda broken, but I don’t know how they’d fix it

If you have an Nvidia card open the Nvidia control panel and for non-HDR: boost Gamma to 2-2.4, then slowly increase contrast to taste.
If you're in HDR you have to max out contrast then walk gamma up until it looks good. (This trick works better with HDR off)
