Meet Hans Scharf, an unlikely hero within the Nazi regime during World War II. 🌍🕊️ While other interrogators relied on brutal tactics, Scharf employed an astonishing approach: kindness. Imagine nature walks, homemade treats, and beers shared with prisoners. He even allowed one American prisoner to fly a German plane! Scharf’s real genius lay in his psychological mind games, convincing prisoners he already knew their secrets. His methods were so effective, they're still taught in U.S. military schools today. Dive into this extraordinary tale of empathy and cunning, and discover how one man’s unique approach reshaped military interrogation. My mother was a prisoner at Auschwitz from May of 1944 to liberation by the Russians in January of 1945. I’m not sure she ever mentioned this woman. My mother was beaten a few times but by male prison guards.
