I agree with you that Moses didnāt write Deuteronomy, but the first verse of Deuteronomy (in the NRSVue translation) says that Moses preached ābeyond the Jordanā, not on the āopposite sideā. Does the translation you gave come from your reading of the Hebrew version? Because the NRSVue reading leads me to conclude that this verse doesnāt contradict Moses having written that portion of Deuteronomy.

I agree there are parts of Deuteronomy he didnāt write but Iām not sure if I believe that he didnāt write the entire thing. I reject the document hypothesis. I probably just need to do more research itās fascinating.
