Nursing exam test taking strategies explained...DO THIS during your next nursing exam

The first 10 seconds of your nursing exam can feel:
😓Nerve-wracking
😓Overwhelming
😓Like you you just wanna FREEZE!!!!

If you find yourself getting into this space during an exam, here are some strategies to help:

✅STAY CALM
Try to relax and take a few DEEP breaths. This will help supply oxygen to your brain and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which eventually promotes calmness (remember your neuro class)?? LOL. The bottom line, taking some deep breaths can help you manage your initial stress.

✅INTERUPT NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
Interrupt negative thoughts with positive ones:
I can do this!
I will do my best!
I can pass this test!
I will focus only on the question in front of me

✅TAKE SHORT TIME-OUTS
Deliberately take short breaks during the exam and check in with yourself- are you nervous? are you exhibiting any tension? If so, take a minute to reduce your stress and reframe your thoughts...then continue with the exam.
