Yeah, no. Coming from someone, who is yes considered the labor. I’ve been doing this for just 4 years and I work on a small crew of 5 doing large custom houses. When someone sits out if been taught to do their job (slowly) really as well call it, being a nail driver and a cut man. Have bought my own saw and nail guns (trim and framing). I’m used to carrying a large load in my pouch, different nails, staples, stinger rolls, wedges. It goes on and on. I will look at what we are doing each day and I will take whatever I don’t think I’ll need out of my pouch. People don’t realize taking 2-3 things out of your pouch will make a difference. Idk what was happening this day of work but you must have been doing it all haha. This is not a hate comment haha, love this channel so much. Just giving some perspective from someone else’s view 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 KEEP UP THE WO

Been a General Carpenter now for 4-5 years and from what I’ve learned from others and been told is you should only carry what you need for whatever work it is you’re doing. Planning and preparation is key to making it work efficiently but overall you shouldn’t be carrying unnecessary weight for multiple reasons. Although I’m guilty on days where I’m able to get everything I need and more cause we’re moving fast.

Being an apprentice carpenter, I pretty much carry this much on a daily basis because I'm always asked to help mutiple journeymen with random stuff. I always have the bit that nobody has or a customized punch that os necessary for installing hardware in crazy spots. Yes, I am actively looking into core and back/shoulder strength training. We also do a lot of marine construction and demo with bags on. I personally prefer to vest carry if it's this much weight.
