When I lived in BED-STUY Brooklyn ( back in the good old days) you could walk in the night all hours and you would be safe 🎉 bring back those good old days plus better!

I agree, times were different...we could go in our neighbors home, we could get in the car with the adults, as long as we were home before the street lights! Also the neighbors could pop our hands for having smart mouths....these days we are not letting our children in anyones home, instead we're more comfortable with the kids coming over to our own home, then that way we know our kids are safe, the kool-aid house. Yes we use to walk to the store to get bread or milk for mom. We live in a different world now!😮

They need to dismiss this. Kids walk home from school and often times stop by the store on the way home. I’ve never heard of it being legal. I have heard of cities that have curfew.

My cousins and I used to walk to the store at 7, 8, & 9 when we visited my grandmother. She would send us to get a BC powder & cold Coca-Cola. My uncle taught us to drive as soon as we turned 10yrs old, because he said when you reach "double digits" you had more responsibilities. It sounds so crazy to me now but back then it was second nature. I was born in the 80s and 'grew up' in the 90s so it wasn't that long ago! lol
