I’ve never seen your videos until about a month ago. The date now is 4Sept22. That being said; I love and just generally respect not only your passion of primitive hunting but your willingness to share what you know and do, as well as the why and how. Im a fellow Florida boy that is coming back to his roots. I was at first apprehensive about watching your videos. When the first five seconds played I searched more of your videos and watched more and more and more. Let’s just say, that for the time being; I will be hunting vicariously through you.
Sincerely,
Jason Mitchell

I am Spanish and I don't know much English. I live in the north of Spain practically on the border between Spain and France. We are surrounded by prehistoric sites and for example Altamira, the cave of Altamira is two hours away from my home. And when I visited it with my children there was a prehistoric workshop to make stone tools, light a fire etc. but I found it all very illusory, very fantastic.
When by chance I saw your videos and your work I was totally amazed, first of all because I could really see the tools that I had seen so many times in the museums of my city and also made with the same resources as in the stone age. I find your work absolutely extraordinary and I think it sheds a great light on the long stone age. Greetings and congratulations for your work.

Normal subscriber here, really appreciate the time and attention to detail you share in everything you do. I think the shorts would be most valuable to someone who doesn’t know about you and see’s one and it makes them want to learn more about you and primitive weaponry. If I need some in depth tutorial I will search in your channel. If I’m just casually browsing on YouTube, I enjoy seeing your shorts because they involve content I’m really interested in. Hope this helps.

I've watched your channel for a minute and find it inspiring and don't mind shorts , I'm a indigenous person from the west coast and my father passed down the art of making arrow heads, spear heads, and knives we prominently use obsidian were I'm from and have enjoyed making them. It's a dying art nobody is interested in learning to make them anymore so I've not made any for quite some time, I especially found your long stick with the copper tip and the wood hammer you used to hit it to take very precise flakes off , I've never seen that done before I've only used elk and deer antlers and am thinking of making one of my own to see how well it works and getting my hands on some churt as iv never used that material either. Keep up your great work you are doing to tell you the truth I've found it more informative and entertaining than any other channels I've watched, I really liked the deer you took when the sun was to your back property positioning in hunting is key good luck and God bless.

Hi Ryan! Greetings from Oregon! I love all your videos. The shorts to me are like tasty snacks between the big meals . Something to chew on while waiting for the next feature film. If you feel they detract from your channel, perhaps a secondary channel specifically for the shorts would help. I would absolutely subscribe and watch each one whilst eagerly anticipating your next major production. Thank you for your great content, integrity, and honesty. Keep up the amazing work!

Love the videos. Just bought chert or such from you and made a decent arrow head with the first rock. Your short videos are extremely helpful. I'm retired and wanted to flint knap since I was a kid. Now I have time. I found some local rock and it didn't work, almost, but not good enough. You're stone was the answer. I will watch a lot More as I get into it.
Thanks!

I just started following you. I saw you atlatl videos and got hooked. Been binging since. From Georgia, USA. Paleo anthropology and primitive hunting (especially atlatl) has always been a passion of mine. And I have been enjoying your videos immensely. I’ve only seen one other short which was a bow fishing short. Honestly it is cool to see the stuff in action in the shorts but definitely prefer the longer videos. Thoroughly enjoy seeing building and using how-to’s.

Ryan...it is YOU that makes ALL of your content great because of your, obviously, genuine desire to teach these skills to everyone. I'm in North Texas and have been subscribed to your channel for a few years, now. I've learned SO MUCH from you, man!!! You always make everything clear as to WHY you do things the way you do, as well as HOW to do it and with WHAT materials. I love the shorts...they get my OWN creative juices flowing and remind me to search back through your previous content. The quality of your stuff doesn't lack for anything, as far as I can tell. I find it AMAZING that you can speak to us clearly and with plain language, whilst performing the "task at hand" for our viewing pleasure...all without a hitch or awkward pauses. Keep on making disciples of these skill sets, sir!

Hey Ryan. For me the greatest value of your videos is their value in experimental archaeology and anthropology. Your experimental approach to ancient hunting tools and techniques provides invaluable information about ancient human cultures and their ability to survive. I think your atlatl bison hunt is a spectacular production. Your extensive work on the development of primitive archery is invaluable and absolutely fascinating to me. Your work provides real-life, tangible information on subjects that many academicians can only speculate about. For me that’s you greatest contribution and where I would like to see you continue.
