I rotated a lifter once in my hot LS S10. I pulled that LS2 motor. Took the top end off, put it on a LQ9(iron block) for boost. I also added a cam, springs, LS7 lifters and hardened push rods. I been good ever since

Iโm a sucker for those pretty lil poisonโs. Bought my wife a 2015 Tahoe 3 years ago. Did all the repairs that they usually need. Now I bought myself a 2018 Tahoe. And Iโm a mechanic by trade. They definitely mechanic specials.

I have a 2008 Escalade EXT with the 6.2. I thought I had a lifter tap a few years ago until I dug a little deeper. Turns out these engines are famous for broken exhaust manifold bolts, most time it's the farthest rear bolt on the driver side. Sure enough my "tapping" was just exhaust escaping. They make a little bolt on kit to fix this, basically a bracket that bolts to the back of the head then has a bolt you cinch down on the manifold where the broken bolt is. Stopped the tapping sound right away. I have to re tighten it every couple years.

Had a 08 yukon... fixed them issues... got a escalade... got rid of it once i started hearing a tick.
Now im not sure i want a lt or ls in my 66 c10!!!

There was no 2011 Z28. It was only from 2014 to 2015. The engine is a 7.0 LS7. It never came with DOD.

They do like the tap but I have also taken the head off the driver side of my LS3 and replace just the lifters on that side and I've been good to go for another 80000 miles.
