Born to reshape history, Alexander the Great's legacy isn’t all glory. Here are 5 unnerving facts about him. Firstly, hygiene wasn’t his strong suit—Alexander rarely bathed, masking his odor with perfumes instead. Despite his brilliance on the battlefield, he had a strange fascination with his dead enemies; it’s said he would have them embalmed and displayed as macabre trophies of war. After his brutal conquest of Tyre, he mercilessly crucified two thousand survivors along the shoreline, a chilling display of his power and ruthlessness. In a drunken fit of rage, Alexander killed his close friend Cleitus with a spear during a banquet, simply because he didn’t like what Cleitus had to say. Finally, his obsession with power reached such heights that he declared himself a god, forcing his followers to worship him while he was still alive. Each fact reveals a darker, more complex side of this legendary conqueror, reminding us that even the greatest figures have shadows. If you found these revelations compelling, subscribe for more intriguing stories from history’s annals. Like and Follow!

He was what he was. Accustomed to killing, blood and war. He must have grown numbed to seeing and hearing men and women being tortured and killed by swords and spears and so many other ways.
That was the nature of things back then.
Wars, killing and death. He killed on a whim, for any insult or slight to his greatness. He handed out life and death like he wanted. Oh well. The gods they worshipped did the same.

The man lived and died hundreds of years before Jesus. He wasn't a Disney character. He had flaws like everyone els
